Description

The TÝR Group “COMBAT GOLOK” is a premium custom knife designed for discriminating users who demand the very best. The “COMBAT GOLOK” is made by master bladesmith, Jeff Crowner, of Jeff Crowner Custom Knives. TÝR Group’s “COMBAT GOLOK” is inspired by Jeff’s Northwest GOLOK and is offered exclusively on TÝR Group’s website, www.tyrgroupllc.com. Each GOLOK and Kydex sheath are handmade by Jeff Crowner at his Oregon knife shop using the finest materials with careful attention given to each knife during the building process.

The GOLOK blade is a heavy duty bush blade. The GOLOK is 1/4 inch thick and made from 80CVR2 Steel that is in house heat treated Cryo’d. Jeff uses a basic traditional design that has been used for centuries among various southeast Asian cultures. The shape of the blade allows the knife to be easily sharpened in the field. The edge of the blade has a convex grind for heavier tasks like chopping. The GOLOK has a “mustard patina” finish with OD Green and Black G10 handles that are glued with marine grade epoxy and pinned. The blade is approximately 9 inches long. The 5.5 inch military birds-beak handle is longer than most handles to accommodate larger hand or the use of gloves. The knife’s overall length is approximately 14.5 inches. The sheath is made of standard OD Green Kydex.
